We continue to see youth mental health decline both nationwide and in our local community. The statistics on youth depression, suicide and other problems highlight the urgent need to step up and support our kids.

This camp will be led by Stacey DeBroux, a school counselor in the community who is passionate about building SEL skills in youth.  Stacey is experienced in creating SEL curriculum for schools, school districts and also facilitating SEL lessons and groups with kids of all ages from K-12.  She uses an evidence based, trauma informed approach that is aligned with CASEL competencies, Boulder Valley School District's essential skills, and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) standards.  As a school counselor, Stacey is passionate about providing real solutions to help students build resiliency and to acquire the skills necessary to navigate their complex social and world climates. In our current system, we too often wait until children are already struggling before giving them the necessary tools to cope. When we create proactive coping and protective factors for one child, it creates resiliency pathways for entire social networks. I call this trailblazing!

The camp will focus on the following areas and will also include take home materials to engage your whole family in incorporating the skills we are learning:

  • Anxiety and stress management
  • Distress Tolerance
  • Identifying coping skills and strategies
  • Resiliency Promotion
  • Self-advocacy and social skills
  • Self-confidence and efficacy
  • Mindfulness

Group sizes will remain small in order to build community and allow for more intensive individualized skill building.  Therefore, this camp is on a first-come basis and I am unable to issue any refunds.

To sign up, simply add this camp to your cart.  Once you submit your purchase, a confirmation will be emailed to you.  In that email there will be a link to a form to fill out that will provide me with a little more information about your child.  Thank You!

If this camp is sold out, please fill out this form and I will be in contact soon to let you know of additional opportunities:
